• Advent Prayer Service

Under the theme “Longing for Light in the Darkness”, a special service to mark the first Advent Sunday will be held at the St Martin Monastery grounds at 5.30pm. The service will be conducted by the Sisters and Oblates of the St Martin Monastery. Please bring a candle or a searchlight and your rosary.

• 70th birthday celebrations for Rev Dr Genius Wells

The senior pastor of the Chapel on the Hill Church, located off Tonique Williams-Darling Highway, is celebrating his birthday with a “Night of Hymn-spiration” tomorrow at 7pm and a worship celebration on Sunday at 11am.

•Transformation Worship Experience 2017

The Church of God of Prophecy is inviting people to experience the presence of God and fellowship during their three-day worship experience, which starts tomorrow at 7.30pm and continues on Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 11am. It all takes place at the COGOP Life Transformation Centre on Shirley Street.

• The GodParent Centre’s first annual benefit dinner

The benefit dinner helps raise funds for the Bahamas GodParent Centre, a charity that offers free services, material goods and peer counselling to those facing unplanned pregnancy. The event takes place at the Earle Weech Auditorium at the Calvary Bible Church. Tickets are $75. Call 821-9490 for more information.

St Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk has added a new nightly service every Sunday at 7pm. It is a contemporary evening of worship, offering popular praise and worship and dynamic biblical teaching.
