CHRIST was nearing his last days on earth when he introduced to his disciples the coming of the Holy Spirit. When He comes, He will convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. The fact that the Holy Spirit’s coming seems to be one of importance and urgency, it is safe to say that his message of sin, righteousness and judgment should be observed closely.

What is this message of sin, righteousness and judgment? Why is it so urgent? Is it valid today? Are the many things Christ wanted to say to his disciples apart of the Holy Spirit’s urgent message? Let us go deeper.

Ever since the Holy Spirit’s ‘debut’ he had a mission, and that mission was/is to testify to the world of Jesus the Christ, and lead men and women into all ruth; speaking only truth. (John 16:13)

No one or nothing today works harder than the Holy Spirit. He is in the world today working diligently day and night on men and women’s hearts, and pleading to them that they escape the snares of this life. In these last days the Holy Spirit is doubling His efforts to reach the hearts of men and women and He will do it with a strong and urgent message.

From the day of Pentecost to now, the message has not changed. In this world of sin, this urgent message is still valid and needs to be observed by everyone everywhere in order to obtain righteousness needed and to escape judgment.

In Acts 24:25, upon being called by Governor Felix, the Apostle Paul reasoned with him on righteousness, temperance and judgment. At that moment a timely message sprung forth with great light, convicting the Roman governor. Although he could not take the sound doctrine, Felix could not deny the power of the message; Felix could not deny the truth that the message spoke to his heart that day, showing him his own spiritual state and pointing him to Jesus.

And the same is true for us today; there is such a message today that sums up sin, righteousness and judgment to come and we find it in Revelation 14: 6-12:

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

It is a last-day, Holy Spirit-filled, sent-from-heaven message. The first angel’s message represents righteousness. This everlasting gospel will go out with power to the entire world, calling all to fear God, give him glory and worship him. Also reminding all that God alone is our creator and redeemer and he desires that all is creatures possesses his character.

The second angel’s message represents sin. Babylon, that great city, has from the beginning through Satan’s influence made all nations drink her wine of false doctrine and has committed fornication with the rulers of all nations. This false doctrine tries to overthrow God’s law and his word while this form of fornication simply means that she has her foot in every nation and has the biggest influence there. She then will eventually set up the entire world to receive her mark.

Lastly, the third angel’s message represents the judgment to come. After God’s word and warning has spread to the entire world, simultaneously Babylon will move to enforce her mark of authority. There God’s wrath will be poured out upon those who have rejected his word and have worked alongside Babylon to enforce her mark.

But it does not stop here; there would be many that would escape this dreadful time. They that will escape will be on the side of God.

These events are not far into the future. Babylon has now already started her work. She has already clasped hands with all nations, putting things in place for her new world order. Let us now get ready, let us now take up the traits of the saints in Revelation 14:12 that we would be able to stand in that great day.
