Wonder woman

EDITOR, The Tribune.

AS a PLP, I was devastated after the horrendous loss of May 10th 2017. Never before in The Bahamas has a party suffered such a loss. With my party holding just four seats in Parliament I was certain that the PLP, my party, would offer little or no opposition to the FNM with 35 seats in Parliament.

The week of the Budget debate gave me a ray of hope. Glenys Hanna-Martin turned out to be wonder woman when she stood up to the Minister of Finance, Peter Turnquest, who presented a budget which protected the airplane owners and gourmet types. The next day, she put Mark Humes in his place when he attempted to malign the good name of former PLPs by suggesting that everything they did in the former parliament was dishonest. She made him eat his words. She made me proud to be a PLP.

I feel happy because of Glenys Hanna-Martin leadership in Parliament. I can look forward to the PLP holding the FNM feet to the fire over the next five years.

The TRUTH is that the PLP has always been the party with Vision. University of the Bahamas National Insurance, BAMSI. the new defense force boats. .Efforts to claim the Bahamas Air Space, The new car license just to mention a few. The four member of Parliament will present themselves well. No man is perfect. one has only to do their best. PLPs have no reason to be down cast. Independence. So :Lift up your heads to the rising sun"

Birdie, I notice that you and the other "die hard PLP' in your praises of Hanna-Martin have studiously avoided the subject of all the millions that went missing from Road Traffic under her watch including her reluctance to install the very expensive software, which we the people paid for incidentally, the lack of which facilitated said 'tiefing. Who knows, maybe yinna get a cut...................
