A 19-year-old woman was charged in connection with a drug seizure at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) over the weekend.

Britney Neymour stood before magistrate Samuel McKinney faced with one count each of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply and taking steps preparatory to export dangerous drugs.

According to police, Neymour was allegedly bound to take a JetBlue flight to Orlando when she was caught with nine ounces of suspected cocaine.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the matter was adjourned to December 1 for trial. She was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS) in the interim.
