Two accused in counterfeit case

A MAN and woman accused of possessing materials used to make counterfeit money were charged in the Freeport Magistrates Court yesterday.

Alphonso Hield, 57, and Cherine Dacosta, 29, of Jamaica, appeared before magistrate Rengin Johnson and were charged with possession of materials for forging notes.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge and were remanded to Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until February 8, 2018, for trial.
