One of L'Oreal's leading educators visited to Nassau recently to show Bahamians the latest trends in hair colouring techniques.

The 'Colour Me Matrix' event was hosted by the Bahamas Supply Agencies at the British Colonial Hilton. Those in attendance received hands-on training, working with cosmetology mannequin heads alongside leading L'Oreal Artistic Educator for Matrix Patricia Rodriguez.

Highlights also included colouring techniques such as colour melting, live model demonstrations of the versatility of the Matrix colour line, special show deals on Matrix products and giveaways.

Distributing top brands in the country since the 1950s, the Bahamas Supply Agencies has dealt in products ranging from toys, cleaning supplies to beauty products. The company is currently the Bahamian distributor for L'Oreal Professional Products Division with brands that include Redken, Mizani, Essie, Kerastase, and Pureology.

"With over 60 participants it was a truly amazing day. In attendance were stylists from Nassau and Freeport as well as BTVI and the Ministry of Education," said Samantha Lowe, Bahamas Supply Agencies general manager.

Speaking on the event's educator, Patricia Rodriquez, Samantha said the she really connected on all levels with the participants.

"She went into detail on all the latest techniques by Matrix for the most vibrant of new colours. The hands-on training with mannequins added a very fun and educational element to the day. Bahamas Supply Agencies looks forward to hosting more events in 2018," said Samantha.

The Bahamas Supply Agencies has hosted similar events before, but not one that exclusively focused on L'Oreal's Matrix brand. In June, the company hosted a Redken educational event at the Hilton, and in July a Mizani education event at BTVI.

After hosting annual events for L'Oreal over years, Samantha is pleased to note that some participants have stayed in touch with the featured educators via social media.
