SO how did or where did the $200m corruption come from?
Just in Civil Service? If so all Audits carried out by the Auditor General were totally useless over the past years….
Dr Hon Hubert Minnis forgets he was then Leader of Opposition also the Chair of Finance Committee of the House.
If his figure is correct then we have to see across the board an investigation of every single Civil Servant with an audit of their personal finances - the homes they live in and own - investments, businesses they own - vehicles - boats and their travel - only then will I be satisfied.
The blame will lie fully and totally on the Prime Minister - he stated that there was a corruption level of $200m so if he is wrong he has to give a national apology and probably correctly resign you can’t make such a statement without facts - speculation is not acceptable.

Well he is wrong with his $200m number. I believe it was closer to $500m a year.

Sickened, the problem isn't the number. The issue is the evidence to support the number. If either his number or your number can be substantiated, then the facts are the facts. But the nonsense the PM is spewing, and it is just that, nonsense, without empirical support, paints the Bahamas in an unnecessarily bad light. Further, empirical data supports the Bahamas as either the least corrupt or second least corrupt (Barbados) in the Caribbean. So, not only is the PM speaking folly, but his folly is not supported in fact. So, why say it?

Sounds like the God argument. No-one has ever seen him but we know he exists. There's evidence everywhere (trees, animals, us) but no-one saw or can prove He put it there. Some things we just know, and we know that hundreds of millions of dollars grow legs and disappear every year.

Watching Minnis represent the country abroad causes me to miss how Pindling represented this country in his speech and deportment. Sir Lynden may have had his issues, but he was a towering giant of a diplomat and made Bahamians proud when he traveled! Gone are the days!!!

So right! I cannot listen to this guy speak, whether it be at an FNM convention, the house assembly or a constituency meeting. He's just horrible at it and doesn't know enough about any subject to speak intelligently.

Agreed Sir Lynden made us proud to be Bahamians. But doc would like Bahamians to hang their heads in Shame. These foreign Countries in which he carries his tales are they better than us??. Does he hear any of them speaking ill of their Country. doc went to the press club and he insulted them.
When he speaks of corruption he is not talking about me. Who knows his conscious must be troubling him and the demons of hell, must be keeping him awake at night after all the lies he has told the Bahamian people.
The fake signing of OBAN comes to mind. it was just a great big lie.

In all fairness former Prime Minister Perry Christie is one of the best orators and spokesman for the PLP and the Bahamas. He is a formidable speaker and has the poise mannerisms learned over hos 40 some years in politics.
