Baiss Senior Girls Soccer Season Kicks Off

THE Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools (BAISS) senior girls soccer season kicked off yesterday with some very competitive matches taking place across the island.

At St Paul’s field, the Lyford Cay girls, in their maiden match, chopped down the Lady Green Giants of St John’s College 2-0.

At St Augustine’s College field in Fox Hill, the Lady Comets of Queen’s College defeated their arch-rival the Big Red Machine behind a solo goal from senior Jenai Adderley and rode a dominant defence to preserve the 1-0 win.

At the Winton Rugby field, home of St Anne’s School, the Blue Waves shut down the Lady Saints of Kingsway 2-0 behind goals from Cimone Hanna.

At St Andrew’s School, the Lady Hurricanes survived a scare from the Lady Aces of Aquinas as they won their first match of the season 1-0.
