With more than 13 years experience in the field of health and wellness, Pryia Russell-Ellis is now offering women the best in beauty services through her company, the Touch of the Islands Spa.

Based in Bimini, the company offers services that range from manicures and pedicures, to massages, facials, waxing, paraffin treatments, inversion and heat therapy.

Products she offers include massage oils, hand-crafted body butters, candles, wax melts, bath bombs, incense, and even rock salt imported from Inagua. Touch of Islands also boasts all natural cane sugars, coconut, lime, macadamia, natural honey and passion fruit products.

"I strive daily to perfect my craft, so there will be more products to come. I am a strong believer in Christ and I firmly believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. My goal for the company is to make Touch of the Islands Spa and Services a household name. I am proud to be a Bahamian and my motto states, 'Where our touch gives you a feel of the islands.' I would love to spread the Bahama Islands to the world," said Ms Russell-Ellis.

Over the years, the entrepreneur was afforded opportunities to travel to various Family Islands offering her mobile massage services. She has also catered to celebrities like NFL player Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots.

"Most people that have a hard time unwinding and relaxing often fall fast asleep when they are in my care," said Ms Russell-Ellis.

She believes the benefits that come from "pampering" oneself from time can be very extensive, from improving self-esteem to enhancing a person's overall quality of life. When you look better, you feel better. And when you feel better, you live better, she said.

"I had many factors that inspired me growing up in and around the beauty industry. My mother being a cosmetologist and successful business owner helped to give me lots of insight on the benefits of being in the field. And my father being and entrepreneur and a fighter who never gives up helped me to manage my career successfully. Having these two strong pillars in my life has inspired me to build my own empire."
