Benefit Concert

The Assemblies of Brethren in the Bahamas, along with family and some friends, will be hosting a concert to benefit the Cat Island Children’s Home this Sunday at the East Street Gospel Chapel that will feature the Region Bells singing groups.

There will be the guest group for the evening; other performers include Charles Wallace, Saxophonist, Adrian D’Aguilar, Augustus Moncur and the patriarch of the Shearer family, Pastor Dr James Shearer, who will be playing his musical saw.

The Cat Island Children’s Home is one of the homes that houses children between the ages of four and 12 years of age in the Bight. The home has been managed by the Assemblies of Brethren for the past 18 years and it continues to have its financial challenges.

The home receives donations and support from private partners, but this is not sufficient to house the sometimes up to 20 children.

The public is asked to come out and support this free event and bring a love offering for the children’s home.
