THE Freeport Rugby and Football Club’s under 10s soccer team recently had a remarkable showing for their first international tournament in Florida at the 2019 Sharks Soccer Cup & Showcase.

The tournament, held earlier this month, hosted over 230 teams from across the globe.

FRFC soccer coach Desiree Parris worked tirelessly to make the trip happen.

And she was delighted with the attitude and commitment of her players.

“Our children have been working so hard for this weekend,” she said.

“To see them try and play so well was fantastic. For such a small club this was a great experience for players and coaches and we hope to do it again next year.”
