The Gaming Board for The Bahamas hosted a delegation from the Turks and Caicos Island (TCI) Gaming Commission last week for discussions on best practices and to offer guidance.
Board chairman Kenyatta Gibson welcomed the commission as the two regulatory bodies discussed a range of issues including commercial and domestic gaming, enforcement, taxes, technical standards, licensing, responsible gaming, illegal gambling operators and anti-money laundering policy.
The group toured both the Atlantis and Baha Mar casinos in addition to visiting the Gaming Board's office in Grand Bahama.
TCI chairman Reuben Hall thanked Mr Gibson and the Gaming Board's secretary, Ian Tynes, for their hospitality and assistance.
Secretary Tynes said: "It is always great to meet with our counterparts from the region and get a chance to exchange and discuss best practices. Along with the close working relationships that we have, we can also see new and emerging trends in the gaming industry and learn from each other as regulators in our respective jurisdictions."
