No sign of the US ambassador

EDITOR, The Tribune.

You may well ask where is the US Ambassador? He or she certainly is not visible in the Bahamas. Our closest neighbour and "friends" do not have the decency to appoint someone to oversee their affairs and our relationship. In fact we have not had an Ambassador since 2011 according to Wikipedia.

We are in the same category as Cuba, Venezuela, Sudan, Bolivia and a couple of others. Just maybe there are too many Chinese here and there is no room!!

The reason I mention this is that I read there was an American Ambassador in Djibouti in Somaliland, a country that is not recognised as a country by almost anybody although he is not listed in the official list.

But what have we done to deserve this ignominy? Hate to think.

Uncle Sam knows the very corrupt nature of the ruling political elite in our country today, whether they be of the PLP or FNM persuasion. The U.S. State Department also know our corrupt politicians could not care less about the national security interests of the U.S. and are willing to literally sell The Bahamas to the highest bidder, which these days seem to be the Red Chinese. The time is coming when it will be very difficult for Americans to travel to The Bahamas and even more difficult for Bahamians to travel to the U.S. It is what it is. Need I say more. LMAO
