A man is dead and three people are in hospital after a shooting incident on Wednesday night.
According to reports, shortly after 9pm, a group of people were sitting on the porch of a home on Lightbourne Avenue, when they were approached by an armed man who opened fire before running away.
Two men and two women were injured and taken to hospital where one man succumbed to his injuries.
The remaining three victims are listed in serious condition.
A man was also injured in another shooting hours later.
According to reports, shortly before 2am on Thursday, he was sitting in a vehicle at Ross Davis Estates when he heard the sound of gunshots and, a short time later, realised that he had been shot. He was transported to hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.

Proves that the police strategy for shootings/murders is ineffective and not working. When culprits want to shoot or kill they still do it. In fact the number of multiple shootings seem to be increasing. Becoming a trend. Taking innocent young men and letting half drunk , dope smoking police officers beat them unconscious or smother them half to death is creating more problems, not solving crime because you now have officers acting outside the law. Some even kill under the guise of ‘Doug their job’. Get rid of the rogue officers. Get rid of the criminal and illegal police tactics. Ensure are sober and level headed when they report for duty ( yes surprise drug tests). Win back the confidence of the people you serve and become united in the fight against crime. A police force cannot be seen to be committing the same crimes they are supposed to be policing. And that includes murder.

Quite right! Then there is the issue of babies having babies and farming them out to whomever, so they can continue to party and make more babies who end up calling the streets their home. Add a nation of illegal unknowns into the mix et voila!
