Search for armed robbery suspects

POLICE are looking for two suspects behind armed robberies committed Tuesday night.

According to reports, shortly after 7pm, a man was walking on Collins Avenue, in the Plantol Street area, when he was approached by two armed men who stole his wallet that contained cash and personal documents before fleeing the scene.

Meanwhile, officers of the Flying Squad Unit and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force marines conducted a search of an abandoned building on Douglas Road, Gambier Village, and discovered a .25 pistol, four rounds of ammunition and an unknown quantity of suspected marijuana.

No arrest was made in connection with this incident.

Investigations are continuing in both matters.

that police superintendent or inspector, or whatever he is, said we are living in a war zone so I guess it makes sense to have soldiers or marines armed with tactical assault weapons roaming the streets ready and able to kill people.
