A local gospel artists joined forces with several international musicians who sailed to the Bahamas by way of the Christian Hip-Hop & Gospel Hip-Hop Cruise on Carnival Liberty this week.

The gospel cruise featured a series of events including consecutive concerts on board the ship as well as a beach party at Arawak Cay.

It was presented by DJ Don in conjunction with Right Way Management Sound, which is an entertainment company that has been in the industry for more than 22 years.

The cruise this week was the first ever of its kind, according to DJ Don, and presented a great experience for those participating.

“The Christian Hip-Hop Gospel Party showcased artists in the Bahamas; Fred Hammond and his managing team helped come up with the event,” he said.

He said this showcase has the potential to offer opportunities for local gospel artists to break into the international scene while also getting the chance to network with other professionals.

“This is opening up doors for the Bahamian artists who have a chance to make it on the Billboard charts and maybe hopefully pick up Grammy nominations and awards,” he said.

Local artist DJ Counsellor shared on his Facebook about the great of a time he had during the beach party.

“Had a blast taking part in CHH Gospel Hip Hop event at the Fish Fry, teaming up with dozens of US and local artists. Congrats to DJ Don and team,” he posted.

DJ Don said the feedback in general has been fantastic.
