Competition in the Mario’s Mixed Doubles Bowling Tournament continued Wednesday night at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Centre where teams of one male and one female are competing over a six-week period for a 1st place prize of $1,000, second place $500 and 3rd place $300.
The team of Floridamae Wilson and Alexis Seymour averaged an impressive 209 for their combined six games and expanded their lead to 122 pins over the nearest competitor.
The top scorer of the evening was Lee Davis with a 546 high three-game series followed by Janice Hoyte with a 541-second high set. Marcharia McDonald struck for the high game of 228 with Stan Bethell downing the pins for the second high game of 204.
The top four teams after the fourth of six weeks and 24 games are as follows:
1st - Floridamae Wilson/Alexis Seymour - 202 average
2nd - Uchenna Delva/Marcharia McDonald - 197 average
3rd - Camille Burnside/Stan Bethell - 193.3 average
3rd - Marina McClain/Ansel Ferguson - 193.1 average
Play will continue next Wednesday at 7pm.
