A TEENAGER was charged yesterday with murdering a 22-year-old man in the Culmersville area last month. Javano Hall, 19, was charged before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt with murdering Shaquille Rolle on May 30.

According to reports, shortly after 10pm on the date in question, a man was standing in front of a residence on Shady Tree Street, Culmersville when a silver vehicle pulled up to him.

The occupants of the vehicle subsequently fired shots in his direction, injuring him, before speeding away. Paramedics transported the injured man to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Hall was not required to enter a plea to the charge and the matter was adjourned to August 7 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI). Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS) in the interim.

He has the right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail. Hall is represented by attorney Ian Cargill.
