Police Marine Officers intercepted a Haitian vessel on Friday with 58 Haitian nationals on board.

ZNS TV reported the interception was made by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Just think how many are not being intercepted with each passing week and how many usually end up on our shores at night with no evidence of the sea vessel owned by the smugglers who brought them here. The smugglers quickly head back to Haiti in the same sea vessel for their next load of customers.

Anyone know how many of those big defense force boats we bought not too long ago for mega millions of dollars are still seaworthy? Sophisticately equipped boats in the hands of defense force seamen who are the product of our D minus public education system might explain why so many of them quickly run aground or otherwise become un-seaworthy.

Also, we Bahamians should be increasingly alarmed about the national security implications of our police force and defense force being comprised of ever increasing numbers of individuals of Haitian descent, many of whom would not even be in the Bahamas today were it not for one or both of their parents having illegally entered our country.

Be sure to fingerprint them so if they return illegally or overstay their time it will show and put them on the stop list.

They send home 100. and then they caught 58. and bet your bottom dollar some came in and no body saw them. They were looking the other way.

The patience of job would be thin by now. They come by boat and leave by plane. and Rights Haitians says do not deport them. and those who support them says it is not Christian.
