To whom it may concern:
Please stop cutting down all the trees along Cable Beach. These trees have given us shade, protection from the wind, absorbed the salt spray, noise, and all the pollution from the traffic for years.
It looks so ugly now, with dirty broken curbs, tree stumps, discarded electrical boxes, billboards, weeds and old tyres. There are a few trees left and they are marked for cutting too. Stop! Stop! Stop!
I know there are many out there that hate the Casuarina trees, but please don’t use the excuse that these trees have caused accidents or they leave a mess. People cause accidents, and there is so much more mess now than ever before. There’s been no attempt to beautify the area, it’s just been left scarred and abandoned.
Don’t make Cable Beach as ugly as many other areas in Nassau where things have been hacked up.
Leave the trees alone and clean up the mess!

Thank you for cutting down these trees. They were unsightly. Now that they are gone we can finally landscape the meridian's, as nothing can grow under the acid-enriched pine needles that drop from the invasive casuarina tree.
