Follow the British example

EDITOR, The Tribune

House of Assembly – just how open to speech is the House when an opposing side MP can interrupt constantly through a presentation? Compare that to the mother of parliaments, this never occurs.

Mr Speaker, these rules must change…a request on a Point of Order should not be adjudicated by the Chair. The Brits have it 100% correct. The MP standing gives way to a MP wishing to cause an intervention when the standing MP gives the floor after the Point of Order is made that previously speaking MP continues…now an opposing MP can interrupt constantly disrupting the flow of their presentation.

Centreville makes a good point…where are the reports? Finance - Treasury - Authorities - Departments – some have not reported for years! Censure them, Mr Speaker.

Labour Laws and certificate to strike…a certificate is not worth the paper it is typed on…as soon as you strike the Minister sends the issue to the Labour Tribunal…this is laughable and unconstitutional.
