THE DTSP Wolf Pack Track Club is all set to stage its fourth annual Wolf Pack Track and Field Classic at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium on Saturday.

The club, headed by president Larry Clarke, staged a press briefing on Wednesday at the stadium to assure the public that all systems are go for the event slated to begin at 9am.

According to public relations officer Philip Gray, their media team provided an update of the meet which gave club members an opportunity to get up close and personal.

The team members got a chance to get an ice bath and their mascot was on display for the first time, indicating that they are now ready for the meet.

“We are moving towards having a very well-executed and tightly-ran meet,” Gray said. “We have some 48 clubs participating and near to 1,000 athletes expected to compete.”

More than 100 volunteers were also introduced to meet director David Charlton and meet manager Larry Clarke as they got their final briefing.

“Our marketing team also has some tricks up their sleeves to make the meet exciting on and off the track,” Gray added.

“We hope that the persons in attendance will enjoy every moment of it,” he added.

On hand as well was coach Ronald Cartwright, who will serve as the patron for the meet.

Cartwright has assisted Clarke, who is also been the head coach for the Wolf Pack for a number of years and has graciously consented to be honoured this year.
