The new PM’s Press Secretary seems to think he is an elected MP…of course we copy the US with their Presidential-White House Press Officer… flags decor background of White House, etc, etc, only thing missing is the playing of the Star Spangled Banner!
A press officer should never take the liberty to politically comment or be judgmental… soon after appointment the new Press Secretary seems to think he is still on his much liked TV programme where he had total liberal discipline to his editorial comment, etc.
His comments this week on the PI Crown Land issue…now the Fixed Election Date raises the obvious – isn’t he a Civil Service contract employee and must comply with General Orders…note General Orders requires all Civil Servants not to comment “politically”!
Let’s hope he learns and reverts to being factual and stop editorialising? Sorry guy you are no longer on TV and have the total freedom of comment.
