A teenager was yesterday charged with murdering a man in Hospital Lane last month.
Brandon Adderley, 18, was charged before Magistrate Samuel McKinney with murdering Diano Nixon on November 29.
According to reports, shortly after 8pm that day, officers were called to Hospital Lane after receiving information about the sound of gunshots in the community.
Upon arrival, responding officers saw a grey Nissan March with its engines running parked at an angle on the corner of Hospital Lane and an unknown named road.
An inspection revealed a dark male slumped over the front seat. Emergency Medical Services were called and later pronounced the victim dead.
Adderley was not required to enter a plea to the charge during yesterday’s hearing and the matter was adjourned to Jan 13 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.
Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in the interim.
