A MAN and woman who denied having sex in a public place were yesterday granted bail ahead of their trial.
Marvin Martin, 49, and Carol Bowe, 32, were arrested after they were accused of engaging in sexual intercourse in public on June 15.
The two were also accused of exposing an eight-year-old girl in a manner likely to cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to her health that same day.
Both Martin and Bowe pleaded not guilty to sexual intercourse in a public place and cruelty to children when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyanne Ferguson-Pratt yesterday.
As a result, their case was adjourned to September 1 for trial.
The accused were each granted $8,500 bail until that time.
As part of their agreement, they must report to the Wulff Road Police Station every Tuesday leading up to their court case on or before 6pm.
