A man and teenager were charged with armed robbery in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Police arrested Justin Williams, 21, and Le’andre Lightbourne, 18, after they were accused of using a handgun to rob a woman of $150 on August 29.
Due to the nature of the offence, the accused were not required to enter a plea and their case was adjourned to December 10 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.
In the meantime, Lightbourne and Williams were denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
They have a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
