A MAN and woman accused of hitting a man with a baseball bat last week were yesterday granted bail before their trial.
David Wallace Jr, 21, and Joycelyn Chriswell, 18, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and causing harm.
Police alleged that the two, while being concerned together, unlawfully assaulted Garvin Butler with a baseball bat and further caused him harm while at Pepper Road, Eastwood on January 6.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charges during their arraignment yesterday and the matter was adjourned to February 23 for trial.
Magistrate McKinney also granted the accused bail at $5,000 with one surety.
