AN 18-year-old youth was sentenced to 18 months in prison yesterday after being found guilty of grievous harm.
Alvin Janvier, 18, was tried before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.
On June 21, 2020, Janvier is accused of attacking another teenage boy in New Providence, causing him grievous harm.
After several witnesses had earlier given testimony in the matter, Magistrate Vogt-Evans found there was sufficient evidence to proceed against Janvier.
Before being taken into custody, Janvier was informed of his right to appeal the court’s sentencing within seven days.
