A MAN appeared in court yesterday accused of trespassing at Margaritaville Resort, threatening a woman and stealing property from the hotel on Monday.
Jonathon Lightbourne, 36, of Farrington Road, appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis yesterday on four separate charges: trespassing, threats of death, stealing and disorderly behaviour in a police station.
On March 14 around 11am, Lightbourne allegedly trespassed onto the Margaritaville Beach Resort on Bay Street and while there threatened a woman named Terrenique Dean. He also reportedly stole a 48” blue single Rave Sport floatation tube that belonged to the resort, worth over $40.
Later that same day after his arrest around 6pm Lightbourne also allegedly behaved in a disorderly manner while in custody at the Nassau Street Police Station.
While Lightbourne pleaded guilty to the trespassing charge in court, he pleaded not guilty to the three remaining charges against him.
As the prosecution had no objection to bail, Magistrate Rolle Davis granted the accused bail at $650 with one surety.
Lightbourne’s case was adjourned to April 8.
