The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge listened intently on Saturday as members of Daystar Bible Church recounted their experiences of Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 storm that made landfall on Abaco in September 2019.

Pastor Silbert Mills led the guided tour of the church located in Dundas Town as the Royal couple made a stopover visit to the northern island.

They got a first-hand view of the devastation experienced by the community of Abaco. Evidence of the devastating storm could still be seen in the church building, still without pews or doors, and with few windows.

Seated in plastic chairs assembled in a circle in the sanctuary, members of the congregation shared harrowing stories as Prince William and Kate made their assessments.

“We made it through. I never want to see it again,” said Elder William Swain, a senior member of the church.

The Bahamas welcomed the Royals to its shores March 24 as they celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen.

This is all well and good. But the world has moved on.

So many crises have happened since Dorian the eyes of the world are elsewhere, if anyone is to restore the people affected by Jean, Irma, Matthew, Joaquin, Dorian it has to begin with us. We have the funds, we just got 250m from the world bank for COVID and nobody knows where it went. Yet the head woman in charge, tasked with overseeing the project was able to sell an industrial generator she bought to power her 3 bedroom house for 16 thousand dollars. And, we still haven't gotten a clear answer on where the generator was purchased even though customs keeps import records of everything.

We can do it and we'll have the funds if we shun corruption

Word the wise wise, the world thinks all of us black nations are stuffed to the hilt with fat greasy greedy, dumb and inexplicably wealthy and corrupt politicians.

Gotta hand it though to the corrupt and incompetent Davis and Cooper led PLP administration; they sure used William and Kate to make a full blown mockery of what the British Monarchy (aka 'The Firm') is all about these days.

And to think the Royal couple participated so dutifully in the mockery exercise. I suspect, even the Queen at her very late stage in life, is well aware that the British Monarchy will quickly be dismantled after her passing. It's probably the main reason why she has decided not to relinquish the Throne while she's alive unless she's somehow forced to do so.

By the way, has anyone seen Fwreddy Boy Mitchell? Did he keep for himself all of the very expensive Iranian white caviar, fresh from the Caspian Sea, that he had government order be flown in for the Royal visit cocktail parties?

I guess we can safely assume Fweddy Boy was behind the scenes eating caviar and sipping champagne while assidiously plotting the departure of our nation from the Commonwealth and its transformation to a Republic; all consistent of course with his great ambition to one day be El Presidente of The Bahamas. LMAO
