Funeral service for
George Walton Williams, 75
a resident of Alexander Blvd., Nassau Village & formerly of Turks & Caicos Island, will be held at New Covenant Baptist Church, East West Highway, on Saturday 3rd May, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Trajean Jadorette, assisted by Bishop Simeon B. Hall, Pastor Kelvin Briggs & Pastor Stephen Wells. Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
He is survived by his loving wife: Advira Williams of 51 years; four children: Sandra Lewis, George (Conrad) Williams, Charlene Cooper and Gardenia (Shanette) Duncan; thirteen grandchildren: Monique, Condesha and George Williams Jr., Stephen Pinder, Crystal and Christopher Lewis, Enery Jr., Emerique, Emerniece and Everette Cooper, Shanae, Sashae and Nathan Duncan Jr., four great grandchildren; one brother: Rev. Newton Williams of Delaware, Fla.; four sisters: Gertrude Horton of Cora Hill New Jersey, Althea Seymour and Elaine Kemp-Wells of Nassau; three aunts: Adasha Smith, Inez Williams and Eloise Taylor; three sisters-in-law: Marvel Bain, Betty Williams and Gertrude Dames; two brothers-in-law: Patrick Wells and Harold Bain; three sons-in-law: Christopher Lewis Sr., Emery Cooper Sr., and Nathan Duncan Sr.; a host of nephews and nieces, a host of grandnephews and grandnieces; relatives and friends: Nerissa Bethel and Ophelia Solomon aka “Jerimiah” and others too numerous to mention. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
