Funeral Service for Samuel Mathias Ferguson Age 75 of Miami Street and formerly of Snug Corner, Acklins who died on April 23, 2014 will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at New Way Native Baptist Church, Balfour Ave. and St. Charles Vincent St. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Hanna assisted by Other Ministers. Interment will follow in Old Trail Cemetery, Abundant Life Road.
He is survived by his wife, Deaconess Evelyn Ferguson; children, Lincoln, Kenneth and Dianne Ferguson, Feren Deleveaux, Derek Ferguson, Apostle Janet Archer and Trudy Kelvin; two brothers, Dougal and Bertram Ferguson; sister, Miriam Ferguson, grandchildren, Laron, Larissa, Kenneth Jr., Keisha, Kendera, Marshon Jr., Whitney, Magan, Javardo, Ferneka, Shakiel, Rayshon, Dario, Deangelo, Dereka, Dedrick, Felicia, Travis, Tamara, Chinenye; great grandchild, Avery; sisters-in-law, Naomi Lightbourne, Leader Effie Kemp, Geralean Jones and Deaconess Maybell Cox; brother –in-law, James Morris of Philadelphia; numerous nieces and nephews including; David, Isadora and Willard Rahming, Euletha, Robert, Christopher Strachan, Ralph Musgrove, Shannon McKenzie, Sandford, ASP Basil Collie, Ivarene Lewis, Florener Turner, Rita and Dennis Collie, Hortence Bain, Nurse Brenda Cox, Charles and Antrhony Lightbourne, Oniel and Venal Kemp, Leon, Cecil, Wendall, Oral and Vaughn Jones, Willamae deleveaux, Nurse Jennifer Munnings, Kate Williamson, Dudley, Rev. Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite of Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. and Talbot Street on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
