Funeral service for the late Alvina Louise Jones, age 66 years, of #95 Market Street and formerly of Mayaguana, who died on 5th October, 2014, will be held on Saturday, 18th October, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at The New St. Paul’s Baptist Church, Baillou Hill Road & Bias Street. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Robert Colebrook, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel. Interment follows in Southern Cemetery, Cowpen & Spikenard Roads. Left to cherish her memories are; her Four (4) Daughters: Rosalie Williamson, Queen Rolle, Monique and Maria Johnson; Two (2) Sons: Lynden and Oscar Johnson; Two (2) Grandsons: Edvardo Charlton and Prince Stubbs; Three (3) Grand Daughters: Shanikqua, Tonique and Anthoneniece Simmons; Two (2) Sisters: Deaconess Neilor Johnson and Remalia Jones; Two (2) Brothers: Errol Cartwright and Felix Jones; Twelve (12) Nieces: Daisymae and Felecia Johnson, Annamae Swann, Atis Williams, Rosemary Strachan, Linda Wallace, Mary Fox, Victoria Cartwright, Sandy Knowles, Vanessa, Melinda and Emily; Fourteen (14) Nephews: George, Leroy, Dwight and Rodney Johnson, Prince, Gary, Marvin and Quinton Charlton, Christopher, Vincent, Hilbrey and Dalton Cartwright, Edison Brooks and Lorenzo Jones; Two (2) Sisters-in-law: Brunell Jones and Ismae Cartwright; Other Relatives and friends including: Anthony Simmons, Rudolph and Evonne Johnson, Sylvia, Rudolph and Kenneth Missick, Willamae Hendfield, Bricemae Gibson, Queenie Smith, Gloria Adderley, Harriet Davis, Floyd and Beryl Jones, Gladys Murphy and Family, and the entire Mayaguana family connection, Staff at the Intensive Care Unit, Princess Margaret Hospital, Department of Social Services, and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Newbold Brothers Chapel, Palmetto Avenue & Acklins Street, off Market and East Streets, on Friday from 10:00 a.m., until 5:00 p.m., then, on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m., until service time.
