Funeral Service for Myrtle Dean Curry age 66 of White’s Addition off Kemp Road and formerly of Deep Creek, Eleuthera who died on March 13, 2016 will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Lively Hope Baptist Church, Jerome and Chesapeak Ave. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. A. Shelton Higgs assisted by other Ministers. Interment will follow in Old Trail Cemetery, Abundant Life Road.
She is survived by two sons, Police Reservist 1091 Issac Curry and Shawn Dean; one daughter, Raquel Wilson; two sisters, Carolyn Sands and Elizabeth Major of Miami, Fla; her daughter-in-law, Dolly Curry; son-in-law, Edwin Wilson; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Knowles, Danielle Scavella, Ivana Dean, Raven Wilson, Delvardo Scavella, Jamal Dean, Anego Curry and Jonathan Wilson; four great grandchildren, Ricardo Dorsette, James Wilkinson, Elizabeth Wilson and Latasha Johnson; one uncle, William Sands of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, two aunts, Vernice Francis of Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera and Marion Sands Johnson; three nephews, Tarono and Garvin Vernet and Joseph Small; four nieces, Antionette Curtis, Marrietha Jean Baptiste of Texas, Sharmine Major and Monique Smith; numerous grandnieces and grand nephews and other relatives and friends including: Lucy Sands, William Sweeting, Eloise Thompson and family, Iris Whyms, Zilius Thompson, Mena Taylor, Elva Minus, the Anderson Family, Warren ‘Doc’ Thompson and Family, Oral Pinder and Family of Deep Creek, Eleuthera, Eugenie Gardiner Johnson, the Kemp Road Community, the Staff and friends of the R. M. Bailey Senior High School.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite of Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. and Talbot Street on Friday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
