Funeral Services for Reubin Simeon Knowles, age 83 of Rolle’s Avenue and formerly of Fortune Bay, Long Cay who died on October 31st 2016 will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, West Hill Street. Officiating will be Fr. Calixte assisted by Fr. Simeon Roberts. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Tyler Street.
He is survived by his Wife of 60 years: Catherine Knowles (nee Nixon) of Matthew Town, Inagua; Sons and and their Spouses: Michael and Linda, Peter and Deirdre, John and Elizabeth, Reubin Jr., and Patrice, Bradston and Tamisha Knowles; Daughters and their Spouses: Veronica McKenzie (Ricardo), Rochelle and Darian Creary, Linda and Keith Jones Sr., Portia and Bruce Johnson; Adopted Daughters: Tabitha and Ian Porter, Dana and Byron McCloud; Grandchildren: Jonathan, Andrea, Linda (Rico), Amanda, Truman, Reubin (Peggy), Aubrey, Andrew, Sophia (Julian), Kristy, Catherine (Demerick), Ricci, Georgette, Darchell (Greg), Keith Jr. (Kendra), Kevin, Anthony, Bernisha, Rashad, Jade and Ian Jr., Great grandchildren: Demerick, Mya, Myllan, Keara and T’eri; Brothers: Walter Knowles and Family; Nieces and Nephews of his Deceased Siblings: Sam, Charles and Bruce Knowles, Joel and Stanley Moss; Families of his Deceased Aunts & Uncles: Aruda, Drucilla, Mercy, Cecelia and Alfred Moss; Reubin, Willy, Elic and George Knowles; Families of his Brother in law: Samuel Henderson; And a host of other Relatives and Friends Including: Rose Cartwright Family, Mable Henderson Family, Myrthlan Pinder Family, Eugeine Darville and Family, Evelyn Nixon of New York and family, Adell McQuay and Family, Margaret Ingraham and Family, Sam Henderson and Family, Mr. Sheldon Gibson, Sam Brown, Mr. C. Friends may pay their last respects at East Sunrise Mortuary, #183 Baillou Hill Road & Cordeaux Avenue from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday and again from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Friday and at the Cathedral from 1 p.m. to service time.
