What nonsense is this that Brave Davis speaks? I am just baffled at the nonsense that comes out of this man's mouth. Does he really think that Bahamians are that stupid?
Very true! Mum, you should have allowed him to be a man a long time ago.
@Madhatter, you got it correct again!
Very well written "Insight". I couldn't agree with the writer more. I do believe the Prime Minister has the power to get the process started. Maybe he can put it to a vote.... a referendum. If the people are serious, they would vote to remove the Privy Council as the final court of appeal in our land. Let's see how truly serious we are!
Many of these hardened criminals are not afraid to spend life in prison. Maybe with death looming over their heads, something may change. We do not have to use hanging, but perhaps we can bring in death by lethal injection. Maybe that can satisfy these so called Human Rights Groups who continue to poke their noses in matters that they do not understand.
In any event, every single murder that has occurred, including the most recent one, is tragic. My condolences are again extended to all of those who have been impacted by Officer Blatch's senseless murder.
Agreed, the government needs to get a hold on what is going on with BPL. For the life of me, why are we not using solar power? We are spending money on equipment when we can invest in solar energy. Goodness, collaborate with other countries who are successfully using this form of energy and follow suit. All of this sun we have around us, why are we not there yet?
As for Mr. Mitchell, please have several seats. What did your government do to improve the situation at BPL? We are at this place now because of your government's failure to improve BPL. We, the Bahamian people do not want to hear from you!
Apology accepted because she is young and misguided; however, I am happy that the Miss Bahamas Organization made the right decision. If you are not PROUD to be a Bahamian, you have no business representing us. I am sure that there are many people in similar situations to her who regard themselves as Bahamians and are grateful to this nation They would happily show their patriotism!
My deepest condolences to Officer Blatch's family, his colleagues and my fellow Bahamians. What a tragedy, I am at a loss for words.
Sorry Bishop! There are far more issues of greater importance than medicinal marijuana! There is the need to get Freeport running economically, the saga at BPL, the takeover by Haitians in the shanty town court battle, the completion of school repairs, the number houses and their court case, the battle of the State vs Frank Smith.......should I go one? Take a number!
Bulldoze the heck out of those homes! Get it done and done effectively! This is a developed country with standards of living that are just as good as first world countries. I don't care who lives in those shanty town homes, bulldoze them for the sake of all of us!
For the life of me, why doesn't this man just keep his mouth closed!
As for the future of electricity, if we are not looking to solar power, we are wasting our time and resources. For goodness sake, can someone please come up with a plan for BPL to run off solar energy and present it to this government?
