POLICE are investigating a traffic accident in which a man died early Friday morning after his car slammed into a utility pole on Bethel Avenue, off Tonique Williams-Darling Highway, Grand Bahama.
Shortly after 6am, officers arrived at the scene and found a red Nissan Note with extensive damage. The driver was discovered outside the vehicle with severe injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died.
While police have not officially released his identity, unconfirmed reports suggest the victim was a Grand Bahama native known as “Milky.”
Relatives described him as a father who leaves behind a young child and another baby expected next year. Family members said his mother is heartbroken, calling him her only child.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
