POLICE are investigating the “sudden death” of an infant who died yesterday morning.
Police reports indicated that around 4am yesterday, EMS personnel responded to a call at a home in South Beach where they found a three-week-old infant girl and gave medical assistance.
The infant was then taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
In a brief statement released yesterday, police said: “The incident reportedly occurred during the power outage.”
When contacted for more details, head of the Central Detective Unit Supt Paul Rolle told The Tribune he could not say more than what was in the police crime report.
Last week police reported that an eight-year-old boy died after apparently being electrocuted after swimming on Friday.
Police have identified him as Kaden Brown, a resident of Coral Harbour.
The Tribune reported previously that a family fun day at the pool of the Orange Hill Beach Inn on West Bay Street came to a tragic end when the boy was electrocuted on coming into contact with an air conditioning unit.
According to police, the child, who was with several relatives, had just finished swimming in the pool when it is claimed he touched the unit and was shocked.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.

So may people who are "taken to hospital" end up "later dying". I wonder if we should stop taking people there? Sounds like a dangerous place, that PMH.
