Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) representatives have toured the Nassau Container Port (NCP) facility, getting an overview of its operations and how it integrates with government agencies such as Customs and Immigration.
The BMA representatives who met with port chief executive, Michael Maura, included deputy director of seafarers and manning, Captain Dwain Hutchinson; deputy director of inspections and surveys, Stephen Keenan; and technical officer, Kenneth Carey.
Mr Maura outlined the measures that have been implemented to ensure safety and security compliance with both national and international requirements.
