Atlantis signs on to Autograph Collection

The Atlantis resort has formally joined Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, and been added to the hotel stays that can be booked through Marriott.com.

Atlantis was added to Marriott’s global Internet reservation system from October 16. The Autograph Collection’s first resort in the Bahamas will benefit from Marriott’s global sales and reservations organisation, in addition to the 45-million member Marriott Rewards loyalty programme and Marriott.com, which generates more than $9.6 billion in gross room bookings annually.

“Our partnership with the Autograph Collection is arguably the single most significant tourism stimulus for the Bahamas in this decade,” said George Markantonis, Brookfield Hospitality’s president and managing director.

“Our strategic and beneficial partnership will increase visitation of Marriott Rewards members to the country, opening a broader channel for international guests to visit Atlantis.”

“This is a significant milestone for both Marriott International and Autograph Collection,” said Tina Edmundson, global officer for Marriott International’s, luxury and lifestyle brands.

“We are excited to partner with one of the world’s most iconic resorts to offer our guests a further extended global resort portfolio in which members of the Marriott Rewards loyalty programme can benefit.”

Marriott Rewards members may now earn and redeem points while staying at Atlantis when reservations are made directly on one of the following websites: Marriott.com, Autographhotels.com and MarriottRewards.com.

The vision behind the Autograph Collection is to offer an evolving group of independent hotel experiences, ranging from a 15-room boutique hunting lodge in the mountains of Colorado to a 19th century neoclassical palace in Prague.
