Bamboo Shack takes 2-0 lead

THE Bamboo Shack Cybots took a 2-0 lead in the Bahamas Government Departmental Basketball Association’s championship series after winning the first two games over the Police Crimestoppers at the DW Davis Gymnasium over the weekend.

On Saturday night, the Cybots took game two 103-90 as Eugene Bain scored 22 points with 16 rebounds to lead the attack for the Cybots. Brian Bain added 17 points and six rebounds, Georgio Walkes had 16 points and Ernest Saunders had 15. For the Crimestoppers, Mark Hanna had a game high 28 points with 10 rebounds. Dario Seymour had 19 and Vernon Stubbs 15 with seven rebounds.

In game one on Friday night, the Cybots won 85-68 behind Eugene Bain’s game high 26 points and 13 rebounds. Brian Bain had 19 and Georgio Walkes chipped in with 13. In a losing effort, Mark Hanna had 18 points and six rebounds and Dario Seymour helped out with 13 points.

Game three is scheduled for 8pm tonight with game four on Wednesday. If necessary, game five is slated for Friday and game six is set for Saturday.
