A BAHAMIAN American who resides in Palm Bay, Florida, is in custody after he was arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport for possession of a firearm on Sunday.
According to reports, shortly after 6pm, the man was returning to the United States, when United States Customs and Border Patrol officials detained him at the United States Pre-Clearance Departure Lounge at LPIA after an illegal handgun was discovered in his luggage.
The man was handed over to the police and is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.
