WITH the aim of strengthening its church body and saving souls, Calvary Deliverance Church is hosting its third annual Prophetic Conference.
The conference which will be held at the church, which is led by Pastor James Newry, from October 28 to 30.
The leadership and members of the congregation are encouraging all those who want a life-changing encounter to attend the event.
Speakers include Prophet Charles Ross of NOW Church International out of Fort Lauderdale and Bishop Lincoln Wright of New Mount Calvary in Boston.
During the three days, there will be praise and worship by the CDC Praise Team, and renderings from the church’s fine arts ministry.
The church’s mandate is to make a difference for the Kingdom of God and have people to come to know Christ, a representative of the church said.
“In this time of uncertainty and testing, we, the chosen vessels of the most high God must band together in prayer and unite in love. It is our responsibility to pick up the mantle and restore the sanctity of marriage, the love in the family and peace within our society,” a statement from the church said.
“It is also hoped that believers are strengthened in their walk with God after the event. They must hold onto their faith in God because what the enemy wants to do is confuse the mind of the people. But this fight is not against flesh and blood but it is against principalities and wickedness. We have to remember that we are our brothers keepers and we must not lose our faith and remember that all things work out for the good of God’s children. We must not lose hope in God because he is a master at working out things that seem impossible. He takes pleasure in that. What is impossible to man is not impossible to God. That is the message that we want to get across to those who attend.”
A church representative said the past two conferences have impacted and changed the lives of those who have attended in a major way.
“It is called a prophetic conference because the speakers actually speak into the lives of people when they come. We have seen where they have spoken into the lives of people who came and the Word of God that they spoke manifested in their lives. That is why we are continuing in this vein,” the representative said.
The conference begins nightly at 7pm.
