OLYMPIC sprinters Adrian Griffith and Jamial Rolle hosted a mini-clinic with grade nine students at St Andrew’s School earlier this month.
The lesson consisted of both sprinters sharing their expertise through motivational tips and running track technical drills.
The 100 and 200 metre sprinters, who represented the Bahamas at the 2016 Rio Olympics, have been using the facilities at St Andrew’s to train while they visit home.
“It was a unique and inspiring experience for the students to see elite level athletes train and have the opportunity to interact with them,” said a press release.
“It was a joy to work with the St Andrew’s School athletes.
“They were attentive and each of them showed an eagerness and willingness to learn,” Jamial wrote.
“It was also noted that Adrian and Jamial were grateful for our appreciation of their talent and status of being Olympians. This most valuable opportunity highlighted St Andrew’s School’s philosophy of being ‘international, yet proudly Bahamian’,” said the release.
