THE New Providence Women’s Basketball Association held its All-Star Classic at the DW Davis Gymnasium over the weekend.
In the All-Star game, the Vice President squad won 60-41 over the President’s team.
There was also a match-up between the coaches and the officials. The coaches ended up nipping the officials 29-27.
Sherelle Cash of the Bommer G Lady Operators won the three-point shooting contest and her team-mate Philicia Kelly won the Skills Challenge.
Also on Saturday, three games were played in the junior division.
In the opener, Consolidated Water defeated Water and Sewerage Operators 22-17; the Family Guardian Cheetahs nipped the Miya Cybot Princesses 25-23 and the Athletico Bahamas held off Consolidated Water 17-15.
The NPWBA will take another break this week to accommodate the players who have to participate in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology’s National High School Basketball Tournament in Grand Bahama.
