DONNA Smith won big with a 15k Sweepstakes package to the IAAF World Championships London 2017. The London World Championships is scheduled for August 4-13, 2017 in London, Great Britain.

For the second time the IAAF World Relays organisation launched the Sweepstakes initiative which sends one lucky winner and a companion to the IAAF World Championships.

The Sweepstakes is held at every edition of the IAAF World Relays.

In 2015, the first sweepstakes was held with Shaun Miller, father of Olympic gold medallist Shaunae Miller winning the lucky ticket. In that year the IAAF World Championships was held in Beijing, China.

Smith, the winner of this year’s raffle, expressed her excitement about winning.

“You must be joking?” she asked after a moment of silence.

She admitted purchasing the ticket only to make a contribution with no knowledge of the prize.

The premier package provides airfare, ground transportation, event tickets, accommodation and a cash award of two thousand dollars to the lucky winner.

Over the course of the Games, Smith and a guest will be able to watch Team Bahamas compete.

This should be an exciting time as Team Bahamas is expected to win several medals with top performances coming from Shaunae Miller, who will be contesting both the 200m and 400m events and Steven Gardiner, who has been performing well all season.
