The Ministry of Health reported that there were 40 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19, two additional deaths and one death under investigation on Sunday.
The total number of cases rose to 2,546 with 1,489 of those active.
Thirty-nine of the new cases were in New Providence – the location of the other case is pending.
There were two deaths on New Providence on September 5th: An 80-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, bringing the death total to 58. There are 16 deaths under investigation.
