A 29-YEAR-OLD mother was granted bail yesterday after she was charged with the alleged abuse of her two children last Sunday.
The woman, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of her children, stood before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux on two counts of cruelty to children.
It is alleged that on February 19 in New Providence the accused caused injury to the health of her ten-year-old daughter and six-year-old son while they were in her care and custody.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted $7,000 bail with one or two sureties.
Her trial is set to begin on March 24.
