A TAXI driver was granted bail yesterday after being accused of groping an American tourist in Abaco last month.
Wayde Mills, 63, was charged with indecent assault before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly Burrows.
Prosecutors allege that on July 6, while driving a 29-year-old American tourist in Marsh Harbour, Mills groped her private parts despite her objections.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Bail was set at $6,000 with one or two sureties. As part of his release conditions, Mills must sign in at his local police station on the first Monday of every month.
His trial is scheduled to begin in Abaco on August 22.
Sergeant Vernon Pyfrom prosecuted the matter, while Nathan Smith represented the accused.
