A MAN was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday after admitting he tried to break into a woman’s home on West Avenue last week.

Ambrose Gibson, 38, was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Kara Turnquest Deveaux on a charge of attempted housebreaking.

Prosecutors said Gibson was caught trying to break into the home of Bridget Ingraham on July 25. He pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the facts presented in court.

The magistrate sentenced him to three years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
